Some work done...
A long time with no improvement... I've been working a little bit on reliability (some links were dead). You can now have a look at confidence rating for the various FTP sites we're polling here.

Tuxfinder has found a new home :)
Worldnet has kindly offered to provide free hosting on their Paris NOC. Tuxfinder is now on a nice 155 Mbps connection to the net, which will definitely help us to offer a better service. Thank you again Worldnet.

Worked on the backend a little bit... I was surprised to see that 30 % of the links where dead - mostly because of changes in the ls-lR.gz formats on some sites. This should be fixed now, and we got less than 5 % of dead links, and more than 2 millions files in the database.

Yes ! New job, new flat, and back to my old friends. It's good to be out of the army. Anyways, TuxFinder now has a brand new Debian section, which lists all the official Debian packages - a searchable list of course.

A long time with no news, yet with some updates to the site - like this new thematic tree, which was built from data contained in all the .i386.rpm's files TuxFinder knows. I've been very busy pretending to work for the Army - yeah, I'm in a country where people still have to give one year or so of their lifes to train to become soldiers -, which means that I didn't have that much time to work on TF. This problem should be fixed in a few weeks :)

This week's game :
I have 2 computers, and enough elephants to ensure an average of 1 elephant/hour going from computer1 to computer2 and 1 elephant/hour going from computer2 to computer1. One elephant can carry 1,000 CDs (without the CD cases). What is the bandwidth of this connection ?
Answer as soon as I have bc on my computer, or someone mails me a correct answer.

I've been working on the advertising engine lately... not much to see, but I'll release it as soon as it's packaged. It's actually quite nice, with banner rotation to choose the advertiser, then to choose the advertiser's banner, and private, password-protected pages where the advertisers can view/download their stats.

At least, the new look is ready. I will put it on line in a few minutes, with this brand new "news" section. You will of course have notice the "top 10" section. There are so many things to do... Why don't you tell us what you wanna see first ?
